Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Frontend Developer located in Kathmandu. The Senior Frontend Developer will be responsible for leading the development of high-quality web applications and ensuring the user experience is seamless. They must collaborate with the back-end team to integrate with the API and provide regular updates on project progress to the project management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of a cohesive and efficient codebase, overseeing existing production codes and ensuring a smooth flow of code implementation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain semantic, accessible, and highly maintainable user interfaces, focusing on enhancing application performance and ensuring optimal user accessibility.
  • Translate application requirements and design specifications into robust interfaces, creating sustainable coded applications that align with future-proofing strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to established coding patterns and standards, promoting consistency and best practices within the development team.
  • Stay abreast of emerging front-end technologies, conducting research, and providing valuable insights to the team leader for future planning and technological advancements.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team to streamline workflows, ensuring efficient and productive development processes.

Requirement:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in frontend development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the IT sector or a related field.

Competencies and Soft Skills:

  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong documentation skills, including the ability to report bugs and prepare comprehensive test reports.
  • Proficiency in MVC framework (CodeIgniter 3+).
  • Expertise in HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
  • Knowledge of React or Vue is highly preferred for future development initiatives.
  • Experience with Rest APIs.
  • Proven ability to take ownership and contribute to the overall development of the organization.
