Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our growing team at a leading trading company. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, with a specific focus on import/export operations. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the team with all aspects of international trade finance, including customs documentation and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of payments and collections.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local and international tax laws related to import/export transactions.
• Monitor and manage currency exchange rates and associated financial impacts.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting, providing regular financial reports to management.
• Collaborate with the operations team to track inventory and oversee costing related to imports and exports.
• Support in customs documentation and compliance for international trade.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the trading or import/export industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Experience with accounting Tax, VAT and Tally.
